Travel Directions
From Nantes you can take either the N137 or the
autoroute A83.
Follow either to CHANTONNAY.
From the A83 take the exit marked "sortie Chantonnay" or from
the N137 take the exit for D949 bis. Continue into the outskirts of
Chantonnay on this road, turning right at the first major crossroads
onto the D949 ter (signposted Centre Ville/Parthenay/Poitiers).
Follow this road through the town as far as the major T-junction and traffic lights and turn left (signposted Mouilleron-en-Pareds) once more onto the D949 bis. (Hyper-U would be straight across at this junction if you wanted shopping.)
Continue along the D949bis for about 6 or 7 miles and you will pass
a large sign advertising Bazoges-en-Pareds on your right. On the left
there is a garage and relais and you turn right here onto the D23. Continue
into the village of Bazoges-en-Pareds until you reach the crossroads,
where you will see the tabac opposite you on the right and a small car
park and telephone kiosk on your left.
Turn left here (signposted La Caillere) and you might also see the small
green plaque mentioning La Maison Neuve. Drive past the donjon and church
on your right and the cemetery on your left as you leave the village.
After a couple of miles you will reach a major crossroads called Cinq
Chemins.
Turn left here onto the D8 (signposted Mouilleron-en-Pareds) and after
about half a mile take the first tarmac road on your right, just in
front of a modern corrugated iron barn. You will see commune signs for
houses called La Jouliniere, La Brouardiere, La Buegnon etc.
Continue along this narrow lane for about one and a half miles. You will go over a small crossroads and tiny bridge and then see the sign for La Maison Neuve on your left, at the top of the drive.
